Colorado Wedding Photographers | 2014 Floral

To celebrate a successful wedding season in 2014, I’ve decided to compile a few collages of all the bouquets from all of my weddings this year. As one of the many Colorado wedding photographers, I see tons of different types of floral design, from rustic to bold to simple. All of my brides this year seamlessly incorporated their gorgeous bouquets into their wedding themes, and if I had to choose a favorite, I don’t think I could — they are all so beautiful in their own ways.

Some of the top trends I saw this year at my weddings:

  • Simpler, more classic pieces featuring all roses
  • Sunflowers + rustic elements (lace, burlap), with a little more “deconstructed” edge to the bouquet
  • Bold arrangements with spicier additions such as persimmons + peacock feathers
  • Bouquets sans flowers, such as silk arrangements and even a hand-made, crocheted bouquet
  • Hydrangeas…hydrangeas everywhere!

I can’t wait to see what becomes the next big trend(s) in wedding floral design next year. Thank you again to all of my lovely brides for having me document these beautiful blooms this year. Enjoy a snippet from each of my weddings (and styled shoots) from this past season!
