My roommate Lindsey says I should add “Denver pet photographer” to my résumé and I agree with her, 100%. Today, we ran around with our dogs, Baxter the Basset Hound and Sherman the Corgi, in the back yard and I snapped some dorkalicious photos of the two of them. They are best friends in real life, engaged to be married actually (I have a feeling my next styled bridal shoot will be a glam dog wedding), and I’m so glad I could sneak away from the work desk for a few minutes to goof around with them outside in the snow.
I don’t know what was my favorite part of our little pet photography shoot — Sherman’s total side-eye stink face or Baxter’s goofy-ass mug while he was shaking the snow off his humungous ears. They are the perfect pair; true dorks since birth. Baxter, whose 67-pound frame (which I’m assuming is mostly the weight from his extra skin flaps) is all torque + horsepower, and Sherman, the dainty puppy-princess who, despite being no more than four inches off the ground, can whip out some major speed on those stubby, nubby legs of hers.
Here are a few favorites from our quick snowy photo session. Dogs in photo shoots are the best, and I always encourage couples to bring their pups to engagement shoots, weddings and family sessions. Thank you for stopping by the blog today! Enjoy the Denver snow!
