Denver Wedding Photographers | Annie + Drew

As all Denver wedding photographers do, I got super excited when I first met Annie + Drew and they told me they were having their wedding at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center. The ceremony site on the fourth floor terrace offers an unbeatable view of the Denver skyline, and it’s central location allows easy access to some of the most coveted downtown Denver photo locations.

It doesn’t hurt, too, that Annie + Drew are one of the sweetest couples I met this wedding season. They are always so easygoing, happy and kind. They appreciate each other so much and you can just tell that they’re a loving couple. I wish them all the best in their newly-wedded bliss, and I’m so happy to have spent the day with them this summer.

Enjoy some of my favorite images from their downtown Denver wedding. Thank you for stopping by!

Mini interview with the bride

What was your favorite part of the wedding day? My favorite part of my wedding day was the time immediately after the ceremony and before the reception. Having just a few minutes together to let the events of the day sink in was so nice to catch up and realize that we were actually married! The entire day whirled by so quickly, but the five to ten minutes we had alone before heading to the reception allowed us to take a moment to breathe and enjoy being with one another.

What was your favorite thing to design? I love fancy paper so working on putting together all our stationery for the wedding was so much fun. Working in programs that were unfamiliar for me (e.g., Photoshop) allowed me to learn and have fun while doing so. I spent a lot of time matching up colors and papers and finding something that I felt would really reflect our personalities and create a look that we could carry throughout the entire day.

If you could give one piece of advice to other brides- and grooms-to-be who are planning their wedding right now, what would it be? There are so many parts of the day that you will ‘want’ to do but just won’t have time. Don’t let Pinterest define your the time leading up to your wedding day and create stressful projects that no one will see or appreciate. Focus your time on the projects that you will remember and that you think people might notice and really have an impact on their experience. Leading up the the wedding I had really wanted to DIY the perfect table numbers but no matter what I couldn’t find the time to get the actual task done. We ended up using pre-printed numbers and at the end of the day it didn’t have an impact on how beautiful the day was.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? What was your favorite part? We spent our Honeymoon in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, at the Dreams Puerto Aventuras resort. After several busy months of planning it was so nice to escape for some time just to us. Without our cell phones and all the distractions of everyday life it was amazing to just enjoy ourselves as newlyweds.
