This past January, I was so fortunate to photograph Danielle + Michael’s Dominican Republic destination wedding! It was an incredible experience and I’m so happy to have celebrated with the gorgeous couple in 80-degree summertime weather.
Danielle + Michael chose to have their wedding in the evening at one of the resort’s Greek-inspired gazebos. Before the ceremony, the couple got ready in separate suites, where they wrote their vows to each other in sweet little notebooks that they’ll continue to write each other love letters in the coming years.
During their first look, they opted to read their vows to each other at that time, with more privacy than during the ceremony. I love this idea if you’re maybe a little shy and aren’t a huge fan of reading intimate details out loud in front of an audience (which is definitely perfect for me).
After the first look, we spent a wonderful chunk of time snapping photographs around the resort property. We were lucky to have beautiful, uninterrupted sun and a plethora of stunning scenes for Danielle + Michael’s couples portraits, which were all full of vibrant flora.
Thank you again and congratulations to Danielle + Michael for taking me along with them for their Punta Cana celebration! It was so much fun to spend this time with you and your closest friends + family. Enjoy my favorites from their Dominican Republic destination wedding below!
