Union Station Engagement Photos | Amanda + Trevor

I am a city nerd. I love all things Denver + all things urban. Union Station is fast becoming my favorite spot for photos. So, when Amanda asked me, “Can we do Union Station engagement photos?,” obviously I was pretty dang excited.

Amanda + I used to teach together at Northglenn High School, where Amanda taught all sorts of fancy science classes, coached the swim team and helped out with student council. Recently, she made a building change and is now teaching at East High School, and I couldn’t be happier for her newest career path.

Next year, on July 25th, Amanda + Trevor will be tying the knot in Ouray, Colorado, and I cannot wait for their wedding day! Amanda + Trevor are avid outdoorspeople (I just made that word up) and love to spend their weekends trekking to the mountains for extensive bike rides + other high-elevation adventures.

Congratulations to Amanda + Trevor on their engagement! Trevor did a wonderful job choosing Amanda’s engagement ring (from Brilliant Earth). Check back next summer to see their amazing mountain wedding photos, but for now, enjoy their Union Station engagement photos. Thank you for stopping by!

Mini-interview with the bride-to-be

How did you two meet? In November of 2012, Trevor and I were set up by our mutual friend, Britt. She was Trevor’s roommate at the time, and I had student-taught with her. She told me that he was tall, was working on his master’s degree at Mines, and was a ski patroller at Loveland. My ex-roommate, Kendra, who was a veteran patroller at Loveland, confirmed that Trevor seemed cool and that he liked good beer. I suggested we meet at Denver Beer Co., where we talked on the patio for hours while drinking their seasonal pumpkin ale. Once it was confirmed that we both, indeed, liked good beer, we set up a Loveland ski date. The rest, as they say, is history.

How did you two get engaged? We got engaged on the front porch swing of our house. It’s our favorite part of the house. During the summer we spend many evenings out there cuddling, talking, meeting the neighbors and eating ice cream. And now, it’s our favorite place to get engaged.

Where did Trevor find the engagement ring? Brilliant Earth. It was very important to both of us to have a conflict-free stone, and we really liked what their company stood for, such as using recycled metals and donating to diamond conflict-affected areas.

What are your most looking forward to on your wedding day? We are so excited to have our friends and families together in our favorite part of Colorado for our pseudo-destination wedding in Ouray. The beauty of Ouray represents so much about why we love this state, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to spend time playing outside with our loved ones!
