Okay, so I’m a few months late but I am still excited nonetheless to celebrate Urban Safari Photography‘s five year anniversary! I can’t believe it was only a short time ago that I picked up a DSLR for the first time to create some magic. In order to commemorate the first half-decade of being in business as a Denver wedding photographer, my friend + original photo safari partner Brandon + I doodled around and took some downtown Denver photos a few weeks ago.
Our first stop was the Museum of Contemporary Art, where we learned about the funky blast-from-the-past band Devo + one of their pivotal creators, Mark Mothersbaugh. After that, we stuck to our roots and headed to Union Station, where we did our first photo safari five years ago. The landscape has changed entirely; gone is the grungy, unused Union Station with a backyard full of dirt. We now welcome snazzy shops + restaurants in the station’s main atrium and many new construction developments just a few hundred feet away.
Unfortunately, this time, we weren’t able to capture any classic jumpy photos like we did in many of our original photo extravaganzas, but it was refreshing to take the camera out for fun and nothing more. I snapped a roll of Kodak Gold 200 film throughout the day too; enjoy my favorites, both digital + film, below! Thanks for stopping by!
