This past week, I flew to St. Simons Island, Georgia, to visit my French teacher who taught me at Platte Canyon High School. Shannon was an incredibly influential figure in my life, as she was the singular catalyst that led me to study French education at Colorado State University + to teach high school French for five years.
About the time I started teaching at Northglenn High School, Shannon moved to St. Simons Island and recently purchased a sprawling southern beauty of a home there.
